Wedding showers can have any theme whatsoever. It could be Victorian themed or disco themed or lingerie themed, it does not matter as long as you and everyone else have fun. Deciding what to wear and what to give as a gift will depend on this theme quite a lot. Most wedding shower gifts are purchased to match the theme somewhat although this is not a hard and fast rule of thumb. This is a great idea that will hang on the wall of their house forever. You could always just give her a watercolor of a favorite moment that the two of you shared. That is sweet and thoughtful. Watercolor is a good choice if you want to give a painting as a gift because it is soft and sentimental. Other forms of paints can see hard but watercolor is always gentle.
One of the more practical types of wedding shower gifts that you could give is a large picture frame with a large mat, on this mat the wedding guests can sign the names. In the center the couple can place a picture from the wedding. This is not such a great gift idea if they are planning on having a huge wedding but it is perfect if only their close family and friends are invited
